Georges A. Melhem, Ph.D.

President & CEO, ioMosaic Corporation
Dr. Melhem is an internationally known pressure relief design, chemical reaction systems, and fire and explosion dynamics expert. In this regard, he has provided consulting and design services, expert testimony and incident investigation support, and reconstruction for a large number of clients. Dr. Melhem holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering, as well as a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Industrial Engineering, all from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. In addition, he has completed executive training in the areas of Finance and Strategic Sales Management at the Harvard Business School.

Daniel Nguyen, PE & PMP

Senior Partner & CTO, ioMosaic Corporation
Mr. Nguyen leads the development of ioMosaic’s Process Safety Office® software, a technical calculation tool used by engineers and risk analysts to calculate and assess hazards and risks. He is responsible for a team of software engineers creating and improving the many integrated components of Process Safety Office®, which include SuperChems™ and PHAGlobal®. In addition to his responsibilities as CTO, Mr. Nguyen also manages pressure relief and flare systems evaluation and design projects for petrochemical, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries. Along with large and complex pressure relief and effluent handling systems projects, Mr. Nguyen has conducted dozens of consequence analysis and quantitative risk analysis (QRA) studies involving a wide range of flammable materials; and reactive chemical management as well as the development of kinetic models and scale-up. He is fluent in English and Vietnamese. Mr. Nguyen holds a B.S. (Magna Cum Laude) in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University, an M.S. in Chemical Engineering. In addition, he is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP), and holds licenses to practice as Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas and Massachusetts.

Enio Kumpinsky, Ph.D.

Principal Consultant, ioKinetic, LLC
Dr. Kumpinsky has over 35 years of diversified experience in process safety in the chemical manufacturing industry. Prior to joining ioMosaic, his process engineering experience focused on R&D and manufacturing for a diverse range of chemical products and processes in national and international divisions for several large chemical manufacturers. He is skilled in reactive chemistries as well as the development of kinetic models and scale-up. He has extensive experience in adiabatic and heat-flow calorimetry, heat and mass transfer, thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, and distillation. Dr. Kumpinsky’s experience throughout his career has honed his expertise in the areas of process safety design, chemical reactivity and kinetic modeling, and hazard identification. 

Dr. Kumpinsky is well authored and has published in leading industry publications. He is an active peer reviewer for papers and grant proposals for several publications and organizations, including the American Chemical Society (ACS). He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston.  Dr. Kumpinsky also holds three patents for chemical manufacturing processes and in his personal life has found time to be certified as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
