Sample Shipping Guidelines

When shipping a sample to us for testing, it is important that it arrives in the intended condition. If we are performing testing “as received,” the sample, when it arrives, should still be representative of the conditions under which it was obtained. For this reason, it is strongly recommended that the following guidelines be used when shipping samples for testing.

Glass containers Use glass or hard-plastic containers instead of bags whenever possible.

Container lid Ensure a sufficient seal is made when closing the lid of the container. Use electrical tape if necessary.

Bags If bags must be used, ensure that they are designed to prevent the exchange of moisture between the inside and the outside.

Packing material Use packing materials, such as packing peanuts or bubble-wrap, to fill any dead space.
