Battery Safety Testing Brochure

Battery failure can and has led to fires, release of toxic gases, and even gas explosions. It is critical to assess the consequences of different battery abuses from the perspectives of research, production, and active use. With the increased use of batteries over recent years – it has led to greater awareness of the associated safety concerns by the public as well as regulating authorities. Minimize your exposure to fire, injury, property damage, and litigation with quality battery testing. Read more

Chemical Reactivity Assessment Services

Why do you need a chemical reactivity assessment? Chemical reactivity assessments are used to evaluate chemical reactivity hazards present in processing of reactive materials. This data is often used to meet process safety management (PSM) regulatory requirements, process specifications and complete pressure relief and flare system design. Safe design and operation of chemical processes requires a thorough understanding of chemical reactivity and thermokinetics. Contact ioKinetic and we can help you understand what your specific industry needs are. Read more

Chemical Reactivity Management Brochure

Safe design and operation of chemical processes requires a thorough understanding of chemical reactivity and thermokinetics. Development of this understanding in an efficient, cost-effective manner involves multiple steps. ioKinetic consultants can help you implement any or all of these steps, depending on your specific needs. Combustible Dust Characterization Testing Brochure

ioKinetic has extensive experience with the evaluation and interpretation of dust hazard test data. We can assist with the development of a cost-effective test plan to characterize dust hazards. Let us help you sift through the complicated list of tests to determine which are appropriate for your operations. After the test is conducted, our experts will evaluate and interpret the data and provide a report of the results. We can offer a single package that includes test plan development, testing and data analysis, and interpretation. Our experts will work with you to determine the level of analysis that is required for your particular needs. Read more

Combustible Dust Management Brochure

Managing the hazards associated with handling combustible dusts requires an understanding of dust characteristics coupled with a thorough knowledge of evolving combustible dust management standards and practices. ioKinetic has the tools to help you: characterize your dust, conduct process hazard analyses, develop programs (e.g., management of change), and design dust deflagration vents. ioKinetic consultants can help develop your program from the ground up or address specific aspects of combustible dust hazard management. Dust Hazards Analysis Testing Brochure

Each dust compound has unique physical and chemical characteristics. A good understanding of both is essential to understand the hazards, and ultimately the risks, associated with the dust being handled. ioKinetic has extensive experience with the evaluation and interpretation of dust hazard test data. We can assist with the development of a cost-effective test plan to characterize dust hazards. Let us help you sift through the complicated list of tests to determine which are appropriate for your operations. Read more

Speed of Sound and Density Measurement Brochure

The speed of sound as it travels through a process fluid is used in fluid flow calculations. Process simulation, pressure relief system design, and PRV stability assessments all require accurate flow prediction. The liquid speed of sound and density are two of the properties critical to these calculations, as well as other thermodynamic properties that can be estimated from them. Why measure? Most applications rely on estimation of the liquid speed of sound through a given liquid. These calculations are dependent on a number of properties of the liquid and process conditions, which all have their own associated uncertainties. Measuring the liquid speed of sound directly reduces these uncertainties, allowing for more accurate calculations to be performed. Read more
